If you have the desire to treat kids but feel like you don’t have experience to do it confidently my advanced pediatric training has what you need to take your pediatric practice to the next level.
The reason I created this Advanced Pediatric Training is because I want to help more practitioners feel comfortable and confident in working with kids now so that they can build a thriving practice doing what they love.
I found that my own post-graduate pediatric training taught me the basics of treating kids, but it lacked practical tips on how to implement what I learned to get the job done. It took me years of trial & error before I developed a system that brought flow to my treatments and ease in working with children and their parents.
I’m so excited about this advanced training that I created because I want to guide you in creating ease and flow in your practice, too. Right now.
That’s why I created this step-by-step program that that builds on your previous training and experience in pediatrics. I’m going to go in depth on how to treat kids, plus I’m going to guide you in building a successful family practice.
In the program, I share with you my detailed plan on how I grew my practice and I’m giving you my exact blueprint for success which includes: forms, checklists, scripts, treatment flow, how to talk to parents and so much more.
Once I help you become clear on your vision for your life and practice, we will focus on the ins and outs of practice management, and the art and science of running a business.
I’ll also cover treatment flow, working with parents, and how to take action steps each week to position you to have everything in place so that your pediatric treatments are fun and easy.
Then we’ll go in-depth on the core of pediatric health and treatment: nutrition, gut health and Spleen imbalances.
If that weren’t enough, I’m also bringing in special guest experts to help address barriers we all have to success in order to help you create balance in your work life and family life while helping more pediatric patients!
I’m giving you everything I know to help you thrive financially while you do what you love! If you love kids and want a sustainable practice, this program offers you the tools to make it a reality.
Level 1 Advanced Acupuncture Pediatrics is a 6-month online program with a live training event (you can attend that event in-person or online via simulcast). Every other week you’ll have a training video and practical assignment, which we will review on our bi-weekly group video chat. This is an incredibly effective way to solidify your pediatric skills, yet it’s broken down into manageable amounts that can easily fit into your busy schedule.
Make sure to download the complete course description, training schedule & FAQs. Our program director, Sean, will be happy to chat with you to see if the program would be a good fit. E-mail Sean to set up a time to chat.
If you have a quick question, you can also call Robin's assistant, Anita, on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9 am and 5 pm PDT at (408) 776-0420.
If you're interested in enrolling in this program, we encourage you to take action now and contact us for more information. Enrollment is limited and this program is almost full! Robin is not sure the next time she will be offering this advanced training - it will either be in 2015 or 2016.
This 6-month program will guide and support licensed acupuncturists to be confident treating kids, comfortable working with parents, and successful building a thriving family practice. The course will deepen their understanding of Pediatric Essentials and offer them a chance to apply what they learn to treating children in their own clinic.
You must be a Pediatric Essentials Online Course graduate or have equivalent training and experience in pediatric acupuncture. Admission to the program is at the discretion of Robin Green Acupuncture, Inc. There will be a limit on the total number of participants in order to “personalize” the course as much as possible.
15 Distance Learning CEUs are pending from NCCAOM, California, Florida and Texas.
For those that attend the Live Class in Morgan Hill, CA they’ll get an additional 8 Live
CEUs for a total of 23 CEUs
To get your CEUs you must take the quiz with a passing score of 70%, fill out the worksheet, and complete the evaluation form.
The course spans 6 months, and requires about 90 minutes of your time each week.
Here’s the breakdown:
Bi-weekly videos are roughly 20-30 minutes long, while our alternating bi-weekly video chats are 1 hour in length. The take-home assignments may take up to an hour to finish.
Don’t worry, this course is absolutely doable and is designed to be flexible enough to allow you to keep building and supplementing your practice as you go along. We’ll all be going through the experience together, and with group support we can easily help each other stay on track.
Refunds are given at the discretion of Robin Green Acupuncture, Inc. within the first 30 days of the course going live. In order to request a refund the participant needs to show proof of attendance and completed homework assignments. After 30 days no refunds will be issued.
When does the course start?
The first online video & homework assignment will be available as of June 2, 2014.
Can I register for the course after it begins?
Yes, BUT only until Monday, June 6, 2014. So make sure to sign up early!
When will you offer this course again?
Quite frankly, I’m not sure. Right now, I’m looking at possibly 2015 or 2016, but I can’t make any promises. If you’re really interested in advanced pediatrics we encourage you to sign up for THIS session. I intend to offer a Level 2 advanced course before offering Level 1 again.
How does the Online Course Work?
1. Once you register, you’ll get a login name and password that will give you access to the online classroom.
2. There you will have access to all of the course videos & assignments as each week progresses.
3. Every other Monday we will send you an e-mail once we’ve posted the video presentation on critical topics within advanced pediatrics. Some of the videos will also include helpful handouts or forms for you to use in your practice.
4. Each of the videos will have an Applied Pediatrics take-home assignment to facilitate critical thinking and experiential learning.
5. On alternating Friday’s we will ‘meet’ in hour-long group video chat where we will review real-life cases and discuss our challenges and successes in specific topic areas.
6. This course also includes one OPTIONAL in-person or live-streaming class at my family practice clinic in Morgan Hill, CA.
7. After you complete all the videos, homework assignments and group video chats you will need to answer the questions on the worksheet, pass a quiz, and fill out an evaluation form.
8. Once you’ve done all that and your final payment has been processed (for those on the payment plan) we’ll e-mail you your PDA/CEU certificate.
How Long Does the Course Take?
The course spans 6 months, and requires about 90 minutes of your time each week. Here’s the breakdown: Bi-weekly videos are roughly 20 - 30 minutes long, while our alternating bi-weekly video chats are 1 hour in length. Take home assignments are totally manageable and may take up to an hour to finish. Don’t worry, this course is absolutely doable and is designed to be flexible enough to allow you to keep building and supplementing your practice as you go along. We’ll all be going through the experience together, and with group support we can easily help each other stay on track.
Should I have previous experience in pediatrics?
Yes. This course is intended for those who are actively treating children in their office and are excited about the prospect of growing their pediatric practice. However, if you are interested in starting out in pediatrics, get on the email list for Robin’s next Pediatric Essentials course offering by using this link: https://acupuncture.simplero.com/page/3505-pediatric-essentials-landing-page-for-e-list
Do I have to watch the video right when it’s released?
No, that’s just when it’s made available to you. The course is set up so you can do it at home, at a steady & manageable pace. As long as you watch the video & complete the associated take-home assignment before the following coaching call happens (about 10 days later) you’re all good!
When will the group coaching calls be & what will they be like?
All group video chats (with the exception of one) will be held on Fridays. The only exception is one call on Thursday, October 30, 2014. These video chats will take place via a video service call Zoom. Ideally participants will log into the chat and participate via video. However this is not required and you may turn your webcam off or call in using the telephone. Group chat will offer a chance for group collaboration and engagement where we tackle real cases, real kids and real solutions!
How many videos & group calls are there?
There are 12 videos and 12 group calls. Since the program is about 26 weeks in total you will have access to a video one week, then a group chat the following week. The calls build upon the topics presented in each video. The final group call will be optional, and will serve as a “wrap-up” and reflection time for the course, as well as a last chance to ask questions, etc.
Do I have to be on the Live Calls?
While we encourage all participants to be on the live call/group video chat it is not required. All the group calls will be recorded and posted in the online classroom so you can watch when you’re ready.
Will I get CEUs or PDAs?
This online class is pending for 15 CEUs/PDAs with NCCAOM, California, Texas and Florida. If you attend the live class on August 23, 2014 in Morgan Hill, CA you will receive an additional 8 CEU’s/PDA’s (pending) totaling 23 CEU’s/PDA’s for the whole course. Upon completing the course you will get your certificate. In order to get your certificate you must finish the worksheet, pass the quiz and complete the evaluation form. Your certificate will be e-mailed to you.
How long do I have to complete the course?
You have six months from the start of the class to complete the course and get your CEUs/PDAs. Each video, take-home assignment, and group video chat (w/ the exception of the last call) are required to successfully complete the course.
What if it doesn’t work on my computer?
Tech support is available if you’re having technical issues with viewing the course. You must have a high-speed Internet connection to view the video presentations.
